M.RAMJAWAHAR is a Deputy Controller of Patents and Designs, in the Department for Promotion
of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of commerce and Industry, Govt.of India,
since 2003. He has examined and granted more than 15,000 new inventions.
He is a Mechanical engineer, obtained his M.E (Internal combustion Engineering) from College
of engineering, Anna university, Guindy, Chennai and M.Tech (Polymer Science and
Engineering) from College of engineering, Anna university, Guindy, Chennai. He has more than
4 years of teaching experience in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, College of
Engineering, Guindy, Chennai.
He obtained DL101 – General course on Intellectual property rights, WIPO, Geneva .DL 201-
Copy Rights and related rights, WIPO, Geneva.DL202-Electronic Commerce and Intellectual
Property, WIPO, Geneva. DL318-Advanced course in Patent information search, WIPO, Geneva. He
also obtained PG Diploma in IPR.
He has been to Japan for 3 Months to study the procedures and the system practiced at Japan
Patent office. He has also obtained a Certificate Course in German Language from University
of Madras.

Dr Jagan Mohan R is the deputy director of the Center for Digital Resources, Education and
Medical Informatics (C-DREAMS) at Sri Balaji Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University),
Puducherry a top-ranked Category 1 University in India, accredited by NAAC with A++ Grade.
Dr Jagan Mohan R is also a visiting consultant at the NUS-Duke Medical School, Singapore and
is an expert in Education Technology for Medical Education, Competency-based medical
education and E-Learning.
Dr Jagan Mohan R is a Pharmacologist and Medical Informaticist, trained at Erasmus
University Rotterdam. He was also the founder-director of Dynadis Biotech India Limited, a
100% export-oriented unit under MEPZ special economic zone and the only producer of
Carotenoids such as Astaxanthin, Zeaxanthin, Beta-carotene and Lutein in India. The company
was acquired by Vidya Herbs, one of India’s top exporters.
Dr Jagan Mohan R serves on the advisory panel of a number of education technology startups
and also serves as an education technology champion in the Asia Pacific region for The
Commonwealth Institute, UK .
Dr Jagan Mohan R works at the intersection of medical education, competency-based medical
education, learning management systems and e-portfolios and is most interested in helping
medical colleges, health professions education institutions and universities in adopting
emergent evidence-based education solutions.
